👋1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Vidmoola (“Vidmoola,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use vidmoola.com, our apps, games, challenges, Vidmoola Share, Vidmoola University, live gameshows and related services (the “Services”), wherever you are in the world. Vidmoola is the data controller for the personal information described here. Our address is 2222 W. Grand River Ave, Ste A, Okemos, MI 48864, USA.

📥2. Information we collect

• Account and profile: name, email address, phone number, date of birth or age range, country, your @username, profile details and settings.
• Camera, microphone and Recordings: when you turn on your camera or microphone for a challenge, live gameshow or a Vidmoola Share that requires it, we collect the video, audio and images captured (“Recordings”), including your face, voice and reactions.
• Gameplay: games played, answers, taps, scores, timing, ranks, results, rewards won, and whether you passed or failed.
• Shares and challenges: the video links you send, who you send them to and receive them from, messages, deadlines, terms and outcomes.
• Payments and rewards: reward amounts, payment method type, transaction records, crypto wallet addresses and transaction IDs, PayPal or gift card delivery details. Full card and bank details are handled by our payment providers, not stored by us.
• Identity verification: where required for anti-money laundering, sanctions, fraud prevention or tax rules, government ID, selfie or liveness checks and related data, usually collected by a verification provider on our behalf.
• Communications: messages you send through our contact form, support requests and survey answers.
• Device and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, language, approximate location, pages and features used, referring links, crash data and similar information, collected through cookies, local storage and similar technologies.
• From others: information from people who send you a Share or challenge (such as your @username), parents or guardians, sponsors (for prize delivery), payment and verification providers, and public social media when you interact with us there.

🎥3. Camera and Recordings

• Only with permission: we access your camera or microphone only after you grant permission on your device and start a feature that uses it. You can refuse or turn off access at any time in your device or browser settings, but some features and rewards will not be available.
• How Recordings are used: to verify that you watched and completed a challenge or Share, to deliver proof to the person who sent it, to run live gameshows, and, for challenges, to publish your reaction on Vidmoola and social media as described in our Terms. Recordings may also be used to prevent fraud and improve our services.
• Who can see them: challenge Recordings may be public. Vidmoola Share Recordings are shared with the sender and, where needed, with our service providers.
• No face recognition: we do not use Recordings to create facial geometry, faceprints, voiceprints or other biometric identifiers or templates. If we ever do, we will tell you first and ask for your separate, written consent where the law requires it (including under Illinois BIPA, Texas and Washington law, and GDPR).
• Retention: challenge Recordings that were published may be kept for as long as they remain published. Other Recordings are kept as long as needed for the purpose above, then deleted, unless we must keep them for legal, fraud or dispute reasons.

• To provide the Services: run games, challenges, Shares and University lessons, keep scores and leaderboards, and show results.
• To hold, release and return Reward Funds, deliver prizes, and process payments and withdrawals.
• To verify identity and age, prevent cheating, fraud, money laundering and abuse, and keep the Services secure.
• To communicate with you, answer questions and send service messages.
• To promote Vidmoola, including by showing challenge Recordings, results and leaderboards.
• To analyze and improve the Services and develop new features.
• To send marketing where allowed; you can opt out at any time.
• To comply with law, enforce our Terms and protect the rights, property and safety of Vidmoola, our users and others.

📚5. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)

Where laws like the GDPR apply, we rely on: contract (to provide the Services you ask for); consent (camera and microphone, Recordings, optional cookies and some marketing, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting earlier processing); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving and promoting the Services, balanced against your rights); and legal obligation (anti-money laundering, tax and record-keeping).

🔁6. How we share information

• Other users: your @username, and what a feature needs to work (for example, the sender of a Share sees whether you passed and any required Recording). Challenge Recordings and results may be public.
• Service providers: hosting, storage, video processing, analytics, email, customer support, payment processors, crypto custodians, verification and fraud-prevention providers, all bound to protect your information.
• Sponsors: the minimum information needed to deliver a prize you win, such as a name and delivery address.
• Legal and safety: to law enforcement, regulators or others when we believe the law requires it, or to protect rights, property and safety, including to report suspected fraud or financial crime.
• Business changes: in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets.
• We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

🌍7. International transfers

Vidmoola is based in the United States and the Services are used worldwide. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we use safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum for transfers from the EEA, UK and Switzerland.

🗂️8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above: while your account is open, and afterwards as long as needed to resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal, tax, accounting and anti-money laundering obligations (often five to seven years for transaction records). We then delete or anonymize it.

🔐9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, and you use the Services at your own risk. Keep your login and wallet details private.

✋10. Your privacy rights

• Everyone: you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, and you can turn off camera access and cookies at any time.
• EEA, UK and Switzerland: you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
• California and other US states: you have the right to know, access, correct and delete personal information, to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising (we do not sell or share), to limit use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for using your rights. You may use an authorized agent. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.
• Brazil, Canada, Australia and other countries: you have the rights your local law provides.
• How to ask: use our contact form or email us (show email address). We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time the law requires. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

🧒11. Children and teens

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age set by law where you live, such as 16 in parts of the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information without verifiable parental consent. Teens may use Vidmoola University and other designated features only with a parent or guardian’s permission. Camera features, challenges and rewards are for adults only. If you believe a child has given us information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.

We use a small number of cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings and game progress, keep the Services secure and understand how they are used. Where required, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies in our cookie notice. You can decline, and you can clear cookies in your browser at any time.
